About Us

A Guide to Singapore’s Quiet Discoveries

Hidden Eats Around is a curated platform for discovering hidden gems across Singapore — food spots, natural corners, cultural spaces, shops, and activities that are often overlooked or quietly loved by locals.

These are places that may not appear in major travel guides, but offer something genuine when experienced in person.

This site helps you find them through stories, curated lists, and an easy-to-browse directory.

Mission

Our mission is to make discovering Singapore’s hidden gems easier, more thoughtful, and more approachable. We do this by clearly defining what makes a place a hidden gem, providing practical information for visiting, and sharing stories that offer context beyond surface-level recommendations. The goal isn’t to tell people where to go, it’s to help them understand what they’re discovering.

Vision

Our vision is to build a long-term collection of Singapore’s quieter places—one that reflects how the city changes, what endures, and what might otherwise be forgotten. As the site grows, we hope it becomes a trusted reference for meaningful exploration, a record of places at specific moments in time, and a starting point for people who want to explore beyond what is already popular.

People Behind the Stories

Who’s Taking You Around?

Hidden Eats Around isn’t written by experts observing from a distance. It’s written by people who move through Singapore slowly — eating, walking, noticing, sometimes taking the long way home.

Adrian Lim

Your guide to everyday food and familiar neighbourhoods.

Adrian spends most of his time in places people don’t think twice about—kopitiams, small cafés, and food spots woven into daily routines.

Nur Aisha Rahman

Your guide to people, culture, and lived-in spaces.

Aisyah is drawn to places shaped by human presence, community cafés, cultural corners, and spaces kept alive by the people who gather there.

Marcus Tan

Your guide to paths, parks, and the quieter edges.

Marcus explores Singapore on foot, often without a fixed destination, writing about walking routes, nature pockets, and overlooked spaces that reveal themselves only when you slow down.

Our Approach

How We Move Around

Hidden Eats Around isn’t about finding everything—it’s about moving through Singapore with intention, taking small detours, following curiosity, and noticing what’s usually passed by.

We don’t rush from place to place. We return. We sit. We walk. Sometimes we arrive without a plan.

That’s how the places on this site are found. It’s also how we hope you’ll experience them.
